Catchy Title of the Day: Comprehensive 1099 Taxpayer Protection and Repayment of Exchange Subsidy Overpayments Act of 2011
Earlier this month, H.R.4 has been placed on the Senate Calendar. The description of the bill is a bit less dense than the title:
To repeal the expansion of information reporting requirements for payments of $600 or more to corporations, and for other purposes.
It’s that “and for other purposes.” that bothers me.
This is the 1099 reporting repeal. Most people now seem to believe it will pass the Senate. No word from the President.
