Microsoft Authentication Changes Affect Other Software

On October 1, 2022, Microsoft will require a more secure login for it’s email platform, OAuth. This means that some existing products that send email will need to be updated to work with this new security.

Sage 100 and 300 ERP need to be on recent versions in order to send email from within the software. For Sage 100, 2021.4 and 2022.1 are the versions that will continue to work. For Sage 300 ERP, 2020.8, 2021.8, or 2022.1 are compliant.

In 2023, another security protocol called TLS will be discontinued by Sage, and Sage 100 will need to be upgraded to version 2020.1 or later. Sage 300 will need to be version 2020.3 or later.
